Somaliland says not aware of stranded Sri Lankan workers

Somaliland authorities has denied knowledge of 12 Sri Lankan migrant workers reported to be stranded in Hargeisa over dispute with their employer.
Labour Ministry officials told Goobjoog News they were not aware of the migrant workers. According to Times Online of Sri Lanka, the country’s foreign affairs said it had reached a deal with International Organisation of Migration (IOM) to repatriate the 12.
The Ministry said the IOM Office in Hargeisa negotiated with the employer concerned in Somaliland to resolve the labour dispute, secure the release of the Sri Lankans, and make arrangements for their safe return, the media outlet said.
