Laftagareen Calls for Stronger Coordination to Improve Services in South West State

GOOBJOOG NEWS | MOGADISHU: South West State President Abdiaziz Hassan Mohamed Laftagareen has called on senior civil servants to accelerate the implementation of government programmes, improve coordination and strengthen the delivery of social services.

Laftagareen chaired a meeting of directors general from South West State ministries at the presidential palace in Baidoa, where discussions focused on speeding up ministerial work plans, addressing the impact of drought and advancing development priorities.

The meeting also reviewed challenges facing government institutions and explored practical measures to improve effective and accountable governance, particularly in service delivery sectors.

The president praised the directors general for their ongoing efforts and urged them to deepen transparency and accountability while ensuring government policies are translated into tangible benefits for the public.

He stressed the need for closer cooperation, strong leadership and a sense of responsibility to fast-track development programmes and improve access to quality services for communities across South West State.
