Standing water makes Galkayo streets impasse

Heavy rain in Galkayo town in recent days had strong impact on the movement of people and public transport as most of the streets in the town turned into pools.
Many people mostly business men and students were seen walking in the flooded streets of the town following recent heavy rains..

Residents of Galkayo town complain about standing water on streets which resulted by heavy rains has been experienced the recent days.

The Galkayo’s mayor of semi-autonomous regional state of Puntland State, Abdiaziz Jamaa Nugaal who gave exclusive interview to Goobjoog News confirmed that the stagnant water in the town.
“There is standing water on many streets and this made some of the main roads impasse and badly impacted the transportation and people movement in the town “ he said.
The mayor noted that they trying to solve the problems as soon as possible.
