Suicide Bomber Blows up During Military Recruitment Exercise, Deaths Feared

GOOBJOOG NEWS|MOGADISHU: ‘Several’ people are feared dead and others injured following a suicide bomb attack at a military recruitment exercise in Mogadishu.

Sources said a suicide bomber blew up at the Damanyo military camp as young people lined up for recruitment.

There were no immediate reports on the number of casualties, but eyewitnesses said victims were rushed to hospitals on motorcycles.

Security forces have sealed off the area as investigations were already underway.

A similar attack happened on the same camp in 2023, targeting the recruitment exercise. Several people were killed during the attack.
