Supreme Court president says independence of judiciary key in delivery of justice

GOOBJOOG NEWS | MOGADISHU:  The president of the Supreme Court Bashe Yusuf Ahmed has reiterated that the independence of the Judiciary is crucial to ensuring full implementation of the rule of law.

Ahmed who also congratulated the new president of the High Court of Hirshabelle Abdullahi Mohamud Gaal said the Supreme Court will fully support him in his duties.

He expressed confidence that the new High Court president will serve the country well based on his knowledge and experience in leadership and legal affairs.

“I really know him for his knowledge, experience, and leadership. The Federal Supreme Court stands by its full support to ensure the integrity, impartiality, and independence of the Judiciary and implement the law in a unified manner,” Ahmed said.

On April 8th, the president of Hirshabelle Ali Gudlawe Hussein appointed Gaal as the head of the High Court in the region after he dissolved the previous judiciary of Hirshabelle.
