Suspected IED Explosion Kills Three in Mandera, Kenya
GOOBJOOG NEWS | MANDERA: At least three people were killed Monday following an explosion in Mandera town, Northern Eastern Kenya.
Among those killed in the noon explosion that rocked a hotel near the Mandera Police Station are two police officers and a civilian.
The heavy explosion believed to have resulted from an Improvised Explosive Device is suspected to have been planted by members of the Al-Shabaab militant group to target security personnel and also caused significant damage to the hotel.
A multi-agency security team swiftly responded to the incident, launching a comprehensive investigation into the circumstances surrounding the explosion.
The team is actively pursuing leads to apprehend those responsible for the heinous act and prevent further harm to the community.
