Technical committee of Somali central state formation publicises state formation roadmap

Technical committee of Somali central state formation has confirmed that they will select delegates of regional parliament selection body.
The chairwoman of the technical committee Halima Yarey noted that they have planned to form parliamentary selection body by 15th May.
“On 25 may, we shall publicise the shortlisted delegates will sit to form the parliament of soon-to-be-formed Somali central state” she said.
She added that the parliament will elect the president and deputy president of Somali central state on 3rd June.
“On 5th June, well organized inauguration ceremony will be held in which the president and the vice will be sworn in as de jure president and deputy president of Somali central state” she said.
Finally, she called upon the traditional elders, intellectuals, youths and other civil society to support and work closely with the technical committee.
