Tension goes up in central Somalia as two were killed for revenge
Tension is high in Mudug region of central Somalia as several people have been killed for revenged.
The residents of Ballibusle village fled, fearing a bloody fighting between two clan militias who were amassed waiting the fighting whistle to be blown.
At least three people were killed in the village for reprisal for the last three days.
The clan elders and other peace advocates are trying to defuse the tension in the settlement and calling for an immediate end to the hostile through dialogue, instead of the bloodshed.
They said the battle has repeated several times and it is over long-standing vendetta between the two sub-clans who are in deadlock over territorial and resource control.
Arguments over land use, boreholes and pasture have perennially contributed to fighting among Somali clans who are largely pastoralists.
