Tension high at Galgaduud as two tribal groups clash

GOOBJOOG NEWS | GALMUDUG: Tension remains high in Dhusamareeb town, Galgaduud region following Monday’s clashes between two tribal groups.  

Preliminary reports indicate that at least two people have been killed and several others injured in the fighting that occurred between the two sides who clashed over a land dispute in Hananbure area.   

Galmudug state officials and elders have kicked off efforts to reconcile the two sides amidst fears that the clashes can spark a larger conflict in the area which has been marred with tribal wars and impact the ongoing government offensive against the Al-shabaab militants.
