Three killed and five wounded in car bomb explosion in Mogadishu
Three people have been killed and five others wounded in a car explosion in Shibis district in Mogadishu, local district commissioner has confirmed.
Shibis district commissioner Ahmed Mumin Mohamed told Goobjoog News the explosion happened when a car parked in front of a restaurant blew up. The development comes barely a day after police seized a car loaded with mortar shells. Mortar shells killed two people last Thursday when they hit a displaced people’s camp near the presidential palace in Mogadishu.
Police said the car had been used in several drive by shooting which had claimed over then lives in the recent past.
