TODAY IN PARLIAMENT: Lower House okays Bar Association Bill, Senate debate Agriculture Bill

The Lower House has today approved the Somali Bar Association Bill paving way for further debate in the Upper House.

The vote in the House was approved by 139 MPs, rejected by two with no abstentions.

The Bill anchors into law the formation of the Association which is a professional body for lawyers.
Meanwhile the Upper House is conducting the following order of business:
1-1st Reading of the Somali Agricultural Research and Licensing Agency Bill
2-2nd Reading of the Somali Immigration and Nationality Agency Bill
3-Distribution of the 2020 Budget Review Approved by the House of the People
