Turkey arrests sister of Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi

Turkish officials have arrested a sister of the former Daish Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi after an operation executed in northern Syria.

The woman by the name Rasmiya Awad at the of 65 was arrested on Monday in a military operation near Azaz. Turkish officials say the capture of the woman could be useful in uncovering the Daesh group’s internal secrets.

 Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi detonated himself last month after the US special forces raided his residence in northern Syria.

 The Newyork Times reports that Baghdad had five brothers and several sisters, but it is unclear whether they are all alive.
