Turkish-Som military college producing elite officers, PM Barre says

GOOBJOOG NEWS | MOGADISHU: Federal Government of Somalia’s Prime Minister Hamse Abdi Barre has praised the role played by the Turkish-Som military college which he said has produced elite forces that has restored the confidence of the Somali people in the Somali Armed Forces.

The Prime Minister made the remarks when he inspected the training college where he ordered the Somali National Army’s (SNA) Eagle Brigade to dedicate themselves to securing the country and eliminate the threat posed by the Al-Shabaab militia group.

He advised the officers to maintain high standards of discipline saying they carry government weapons to protect the sovereignty of the country, the religion and people of Somalia.

The army officers demonstrated to the Prime Minister the skills they have acquired during the training which is supported by the Turkish government.
