GOOBJOOG NEWS|MOGADISHU: Two children who went missing from their home Monday night in Mogadishu were found dead Tuesday morning police have said.

According to police, the bodies of the two siblings-a boy and a girl aged seven and five years respectively were discovered at Shabelle University neighbourhood in Garasbaley area in the outskirts of Mogadishu.

The children’s stepfather who is suspected to be behind the killings has since been arrested by police for questioning.

The children had reportedly been sent to a shop nearby but did not return home leading to a search operation Monday night.

The killing of the two children happened barely two days after a man allegedly stabbed to death his wife in Hamar Jajab district in Mogadishu over a dispute regarding money.
