Two people injured, possible deaths in car explosion at Amisom base, central Somalia

Two people have been injured and possibility of casualties high following a car explosion that hit the entrance of Amisom base in Beledweyne, central Somalia.

Goobjoog News correspondent in Beledweyne town says two people with injuries have been admitted at a local hospital and the situation remains tense as little information trickles in on the impact of the explosion.

“An explosives laden car rammed at the end of Amisom based followed by a massive explosion and smoke could be seen from a distance. I am currently at the hospital and two people so far have been ferried in,” our correspondent reports.
