Two people killed and four others injured in mortar shell attack near presidential palace, Mogadishu
Two people have been killed and four others injured in mortar shell attack at Warta Nabadda near the presidential palace in Mogadishu as a ceremony to hand over residence to the new president went on.
Witnesses told Goobjoog News at least five mortar shells landed in the area destroying housing structures and inflicting death and injuries to resident.
The incident happened as a ceremony to hand over instruments of power and residence to President Mohamed Abdullahi Farmaajo went on at Villa Somalia which is close to Warta Nabada.
No one has claimed responsibility for the attack.
