Two SNA Soldiers Killed In IED Explosion in Afgoye District

At least two Somali National Army (SNA) soldiers were reported to have been killed, and several wounded in a landmine blast in Afgoye district in Lower Shabelle region on last night.

The explosion was reported when a military convoy runs over an Improvised Explosive Device [IED] explosion on last night at Lower Shabelle region, officials said.

The attack took place in Buulaley a village in the outskirt of Afgoye town

The security forces of the Afgoye district and the Somali government have not yet commented on the blast after the Al-Shabaab militants have attacked a police station in Afgoye town.

Meanwhile, the Somali National Army in Afgoye district has carried operations over the last 12 hours, to secure the town.

Afgooye, which is 30km north-west of Mogadishu has seen several attacks in the last days.
