Two Suspects Arrested in Security Swoop by Banadir Police

GOOBJOOG NEWS | MOGADISHU: Two suspects have been arrested in a major operation conducted by the Somali Police Force within Wabari districts in Mogadishu, which was aimed at curbing rising robbery cases in the area.

The Banadir regional police command in a statement said the operation was carried out following intelligence reports of a robbery incident that was in progress by suspects who were riding in a Bajaj motorcycle.

Police, who responded swiftly to the reports of the robbery intercepted the suspects and apprehended two of them and recovered knives, believed to have been used to commit crimes against residents within the district and other neighborhoods.

A Bajaj motorcycle was confiscated during the operation which the police said it will be used as part of evidence once the suspects are produced in court to face judgement.

In the statement, the Banadir Regional Police reiterated their commitment to combat all crimes within the region and assured residents of their safety and at the same time urged them to report cases of crime for action
