U.S. Delivers Weapons to Somali Army, Reaffirming Security Ties

GOOBJOOG NEWS | MOGADISHU: The U.S. forces have delivered weapons, including heavy arms, to the Somali National Army in the Middle Shabelle region, highlighting continued security cooperation between Washington and Mogadishu.

The delivery reflects ongoing U.S. support for Somalia’s efforts to strengthen its national forces and reinforce joint counter-terrorism objectives under a long-standing bilateral partnership.

Somali officials said the assistance demonstrates sustained coordination between the two countries as Somalia works to build the capacity of its security institutions with backing from international partners.
