The U.S. Embassy in Uganda issued an emergency message to U.S. citizens Wednesday, warning of possible terror attacks at places in the capital where Westerners gather.
The embassy said it received information “that an attack may take place soon” in Kampala, and it canceled non-essential events scheduled at hotels over the next few days.
“U.S. citizens staying or visiting hotels should expect increased security sweeps and delays when entering or exiting hotel areas,” the embassy wrote.
