UAE strongly condemns Al-Shabab attack in central Somalia

GOOBJOOG NEWS|DUBAI: The United Arab Emirates has issued a statement this morning condemning, with the strongest terms possible, the terrorist attack that took place in central Somalia’s Hiran region, that claimed the lives of several people, and injured many others.

The statement by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation (MOFAIC) also expressed UAE’s strong condemnation of such criminal acts, adding that it permanently rejected

all forms of violence, extremism and terrorism aimed at undermining security and stability and in contravention of human values and principles.

The Arab nation also expressed its sincere condolences and sympathies to the families of the victims of the heinous attack.

At least 30 people were killed following an Al-Shabaab triple suicide bomb attack on Saturday in Buluburte and Jalalaqsi districts, both situated in central Somalia’s Hiraan province.
