UN chief strongly condemns Beletweyne terrorist attacks

GOOBJOOG NEWS|NEW YORK:  The UN Secretary-General has slammed Monday’s suicide attacks in Beletweyne, which resulted in casualties of several people, including state officials, his spokesperson, Stéphane Dujarric, said in a statement

Mr. Guterres expressed the solidarity of the whole UN in collaboration with regional and other international entities to assist the Somali government and it’s people to fight terrorism and violent extremism.

He also expressed his deepest condolences “to the families of those killed and wished “a quick recovery to the injured”. 

At least 20 people were killed and 36 others wounded in the central Somali town of Beletweyne after trucks filled with explosives ripped through a government centre in the town.
