UN chief to visit Somali as the country faces severe drought

UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres will arrive in Somalia’s capital, Mogadishu on Tuesday amid the country faces severe drought.
Guterres who will visit Kenya before proceeding to Somalia is expected hold talks with leaders on regional issues including severe drought.
On Monday, a delegation led by the United Nations relief chief Stephen O’Brien arrived in Mogadishu to hold discussion with Somali leaders on the worsening drought.
Somali government had already declared that this drought is a national disaster as at least 110 people died for hunger and water-borne diseases in two days in Somalis southwestern state regions of Bay and Bakol.
