UPDATE: COVID 19 cases reaches 1170 in Somalia

The federal government of Somalia confirms 81 new COVID 19 cases on Tuesday bringing the total number of coronavirus infected people to 1170 patients.

The new Coronavirus cases reported within the last 24 hours was the largest number since the first pandemic recorded in Somalia

According to health ministry data, Banadir region confirmed 44 new cases, 24 in Jubaland, 6 from Puntland, 5 in Somaliland while Hirshabelle reported 2 patients. The total recovered number is 126 while death stands 52 cases

Despite government efforts to curb the diseases, the aid agencies are also making effective progress to reduce the risk of COVID 19 which is widely spreading in the country.
