UPDATE: Garasbaley district commissioner succumbs to bomb injuries

GOOBJOOG NEWS/MOGADISHU: Mohamed Abubakar, Garasbaley’s District Commissioner, has succumbed to critical injuries sustained from a bomb blast after his car landed into a landmine. Police have confirmed that the blast was caused by a bomb planted under his car seat. Abubakar died in a hospital in Mogadishu where he had been rushed for emergency treatment.
The route between Kahda District and Garasbaley area has become largely dangerous as Abubakar is the 3rd official to face such an incident in a span of less than two months.
