UPDATE: Somalia confirms 71 new COVID 19 cases, 2 death

The Federal Government of Somalia recorded 71 new cases of COVID19 in the last 24 hours bringing the total number of cases registered in the country to 1,573 cases.

A press conference released by the health minister, Fowzia Abikar called for the public to be vigilant about the disease in order to reduce the effects. The minister also instructed anyone who has symptoms of COVID19 immediately to visit clinic designed to deal with the pandemic.

As the Banadir region was the most affected, Jubaland region reported the highest cases today followed by Puntland and Somaliland regions while the total death stands 61 in general
