US Airstrike kills Al-Shabaab militia in Jilib, Southern Somalia

U.S. Africa Command In coordination with the Federal Government of Somalia have conducted an airstrike targeting an Al-Shabaab terrorist in the vicinity of Jilib, southern Somalia on Tuesday, Sept 3, 2019

It was assessed that the airstrike killed one (1) Al-Shabaab militants.

“These strikes certainly disrupt the network and remove terrorists from causing further harm,” Africom director of operations William Gayler said in the statement.

No civilians were injured or killed as a result of the airstrike, the statement said.
