US Ambassador Yamamoto vowe to help Somalia to repay its debt
US Ambassador to Somalia Ambassador Donald Y. Yamamoto yesterday in a consultative meeting on economic growth employment and livelihoods in Mogadishu said that his government will help more things in Somalia.
Yamamoto noted that the return of the US to Somalia will work to help Somalia debt, to repay the debt that would cost to use the infrastructure of the economy.
Ambassador Yamamoto has also highlighted that by strengthening the economy Somalia can achieve security and stability.
“We see hope. I think, for the first time in a long time, we’re seeing opportunities that are expanding and growing,” Yamamoto said.
He also added that USAID supports large Somali companies, who work on fish, electricity and other important issues in the country.
Ambassador Donald Y. Yamamoto also remarked that Somalia is famous in fruits and vegetables in the seafront.
Ambassador Donald Yamamoto who was appointed as the new ambassador of the US to Somalia on November 2018 becomes the second ambassador to Somalia since the U.S formally recognised the Somali government in 2013.
