“Women Are recognized As The Charging Engine For The Development of Humanity In globally, Not only Africa” says Somali president
Somali president Hassan Sheikh Mohamud who attended the 52nd anniversary ceremony of AU has delivered speech on the occasion of African Union Day, held in Mogadishu.
The president highlighted the role women especially Somali women who are the lifeline of Somali people.
“In 2013 we have celebrated the 50th anniversary of African union, 50 years of unification of African continent in terms of all aspects of development and all aspects of starting early days of liberation to now 20th century for first rising of development in the African continent” he said.
He added “the agenda of the next fifty years has being said in 2013 and that is where Africa wants to be in 2063 Theme is women’s empowerment and development towards our agenda in the next fifty years”
He underlined that Women have been recognized as the charging engine for the development of humanity in globally, not only Africa and that Africa is going to pioneer for that, as this is a lot of space for development in Africa,
He retreated that the women development in Africa is visible and will remain visible in this great century of 21st.
