World marks international day of migrants

International migrants day is commemorated  all over the world  including Somalia where ceremonies to mark day are held in all regions of the country.

Many immigrants including Somalis face lots of threats and all sort of human right violations all over the world.

Thousands of Somali migrants  keep on fleeing from their country, most of the migrants die while trying  to reach the coast of Yemen looking for better life while the rest face human right violations during the course of the travel.

On December 4, 2000, the United Nations (U.N.) proclaimed December 18 as International Migrants’ Day, in recognition of migrant persons as being particularly vulnerable to violations of their basic rights.
