13 killed among them DC in Marka bombing

GOOBJOOG NEWS|MARKA: At least 13 people among them a district commissioner were killed in a deadly suicide bombing in Marka, Lower Shabelle region.

Sources in the town indicated that Marka District Commissioner Abdullahi Ahmed Waafow was among those killed during the attack. Five other people were injured.

The suicide bomber is reported to have blown himself up at the district headquarters building shortly before noon leaving death and destruction. The militant group Al-Shabaab has claimed responsibility for the attack.
