6 seats up for contest in Barawe today
GOOBJOOG NEWS/BARAWE: South West State Elections Implementation Team (SEIT) will today hold elections for 6 more seats today in the second constituency for South West state, Barawe city.
The elections team held elections for 7 seats yesterday, despite mortar shells rocking the coastal city of Barawe.
Today’s election will see the emergence of new entrants into the political arena as only one candidate, Jawahir Adawe Abdi, will be seeking to defend his seat.
The 6 seats, HOP#173, HOP#155, HOP#150, HOP#160, HOP#250 and HOP#080 are currently occupied by Osman Haji Ali, Jawahir Adawe Abdi, Hassan Osman Hussein (Qoryooley), Nur Sidow Baaba, Mohamed Said Abdullahi and Mohamed Omar Dalha respectively.
