Mogadishu: Car fitted with explosives rams with AMISOM convoy, kills four people

At least four people died and many others sustained injuries after car laden with explosives was targeted with convoy of AMISOM troops near the main entrance of Mogadishu’s Adan Adde international airport.

It is not yet clearly whether the victims are the targeted troops or not, but heavy gunfire was reported at the scene, witness say AU troops opened fire during the incident.

Today’s explosion comes hours after Security officials and AMISOM after took meeting in the capital, in a joint statement the officials said that  they foiled attacks Al-shabab were planning to carry out  in an important bases in the capital.

Federal government and AMISOM have not  yet given comment about the blast.

No one claimed the responsibility of the attack.
