7 Al-Shabaab terrorists killed, two captured by SNA troops

GOOBJOOG NEWS|KISMAYO: 7 Alshabab terrorists were killed and two others captured in a planned operation conducted by Somali National Army near War-Ise village in Middle Shabelle region, on Friday, State Media confirms.

Speaking to Somali state-owned television (SNTV), Odowa Yusuf Rage, Chief of Defense Forces said the operation seized money which the group extorted from locals and a cache of weapons in their possession. 

The Defense Forces’ chief added that several Al-Shabaab hideouts as well as illegal mobile courts were destroyed in the special planned operation.

Somali National Army troops have intensified operations against Al-Shabaab fighters in the region following a spate of attacks especially during the just concluded electioneering period.
