Somali students arrive in Serbia for scholarship programme

GOOBJOOG NEWS | BELGRADE: A group of students from Somalia has arrived in Belgrade, Serbia to pursue studies under the “World in Serbia” scholarship program.

The program is part of Serbia’s projects aimed at restoring relations between the two countries which have been facilitated by the Federal Republic of Somalia’s Embassy in the city of Belgrade.

Somalia’s ambassador to Serbia Mohamed Abdullahi Ahmed who spoke while welcoming the students expressed gratitude to the Republic of Serbia for the opportunity given to the students.

He further promised to strengthen ties for the mutual benefit of the citizens of the two countries.

Ambassador Ahmed also congratulated the students for qualifying for the scholarship which was facilitated by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Ministry of Education.
