Soldier kills colleague in Dhusamaareb

A soldier in Dhusamareb gunned down his colleague Tuesday afternoon following what sources was a dispute between the two barely two days after a near similar incident in Mogadishu.

Sources in the central Somalia town said the two officers serving in the national army had differed before one of them pulled the trigger killing his workmate.

The security forces that were close to the scene apprehended the assailant and is now detained at Dhusamareb Police Station.

The killing of the soldier comes two days after an army general was felled by a bullet from a junior officer in Mogadishu’s Hodan district. Sources said the two had quarrelled over ownership of land.
