Afgoye administration ban motorcyles in the town

Afgoye district administration of Lower Shabelle region has today issued a decree to ban the motorbikes from plying within Afgooye town which is located 30 KM south of Mogadishu.

The decree statement said, “From today, the district administration of Afgoye is banning the use the motorbikes within the town,”

The administration noted that many killings occurred in Afgoi for the last where the assassinators were using the motorbikes to escape.

However, the banning of the motorbikes affects many young motor drivers in Afgoye who used to get their daily earning from the motorbikes.

Afgooye is an agricultural and strategic town neighbouring Somalia’s capital, which its people who are farmers depend on tricycles including auto-rickshaws to transport their farm products.
