New Afgoye district commissioner appointed

GOOBJOOG NEWS|BAIDOA: The District Commissioner of Afgoye, Lower Shabelle region, has been fired by the South West state Interior Minister Abdullahi Haji Hassan, and a new one appointed. 

Abdullahi Mohamed Osman Hirabe has been appointed as the new district commissioner of Afgoye district, stepping into the shoes of former Afgoye district commissioner Abukar Mohamed Omar Mudey.

A circular issued by the South West Ministry of Interior said the appointment of a new commissioner for Afgoye was necessitated by the need to find a new governor who would accelerate large-scale operations in the district.
