Afgoye police commander killed in lower Shabelle region

Afgoye police commander Abdulkadir Osman Mursal and three of his bodyguards were killed while two others wounded after a roadside bomb blast targeted his vehicle in Hawa-Abdi on the outskirt of Afgoye district in Lower Shabelle region.

No group has claimed the responsibility for the attack but Al-Shabaab has often established landmine explosions in the area and also known for such attacks.

The Assassinated commander Abdulkadir Osman Mursal Nunow has been leading and long-serving Afgoye police force.
