Al-shabab burn down a vehicle ferrying miraa

Members of Al-shabab intercepted a vehicle ferrying miraa in the outskirt of Bardhere district on Saturday.

They waylaid the vehicle in Faawey locality and burnt down into ashes 10 sacks of mirra and the vehicle as residents confirmed to the media.

No confrontation that has taken place businessmen ferrying the miraa and Al-shabab members during the ambush

Recently Al-shab has burnt down miraa after intrceptin four land cruisers carrying the miraa from Meru to Mandera at a road junction near Omar Jiliow locality.

Last month Al-shabab has beheaded Garissa Miraa dealer, a conductor and released three of his colleagues unhurt.

Al-shabab has outlawed the use and selling of miraa in all the areas under their control.
