Amin Jessow: “government decision is unfair and parallel to provincial constitution”
The parliamentary committee of internal affairs and regional formation of Somalia opposed the newly appointed technical committee assigned to form South west Somalia-three regions.
Dahir Amin Jeesow, the vice chairman of the committee accused Somali president Hassan Sheikh mahamud and prime minster Abdi weli Sheikh Ahmed of creating confrontations between Somali clans.
The Mp described the government’s decision as unfair and parallel to federal provisional constitution adding that Somali parliament is not satisfied with how the federal government faced the establishment of south west administration.
Mr. Jeesow urged the top leaders of the government to review their decisions so as to avoid confrontations between the communities in the region.
The appointment of the technical committee which consists of 18 members met widespread anger from Somali members of parliament, intellectuals and other clan elders.
