Armed men killed Somali Soccer official in Mogadishu

Unidentified assailants have today shot and killed a senior Somali soccer official Jama Muhaydin Mohamed in the capital, Mogadishu.
The late Jama Muhaydin Mohamed, was Mogadishu’s Bondhere district soccer chief and he was shot dead by men armed with pistols near a small shop he used to run in the district, according to eye witnesses.
Authorities of the district have confirmed the death of the officer. But motives behind his assassination are unclear as no group has claimed responsibility.
It is the latest in a string of attacks in the country’s capital, Al-shabab had earlier vowed to intensify attacks against government during the holy month of Ramadan.
