Army chief Gen. Irfid exits barely six months into office, replaced by Gen. Abdi Warsame

Chief of Defense Forces Gen. Ahmed Mohamed Irfid has resigned barely six months into the job.

Gen. Abdi Jama Warsame has been appointed to replaced Gen. Irfid who was appointed April 6 this year in a major security sector reshuffle by President Mohamed Farmaajo as he declared an all out war with the militant group Al-Shabaab.
