Army Commander killed in explosion in Afgoye

GOOBJOOG NEWS|AFGOYE; News just in from Afgoye district in the Lower Shabelle region of Southern Somalia say that a senior army commander has been killed following an explosion that went off a few minutes ago.

Abdi Madowe, the army commander of Tadamun police station, has been confirmed dead in the blast which took place on the road leading to Afgoye High School. 

Witnesses have reported of ongoing fire from Afgoye security forces who arrived at the scene immediately after the blast went off.
