Banadir Region Thrashes South West State in Football Tournament

GOOBJOOG NEWS | MOGADISHU: The Banadir region’s football team beat South West State’s team 1-0 in the ongoing ongoing competition between the regional governments of the country and Banadir region.

The lone goal was scored by Banadir’s number 22, Khalid, in the 53rd minute of the second half.

This was the second match of the competition, which started last week with a 1-1 draw between Galmudug and Hirshabeelle.

Today, Jubbaland will take on Galmudug. Jubbaland will be playing its first match, while Galmudug will be looking for its first win.

Banadir is currently leading the ranking with 3 points, followed by Galmudug and Hirshabeelle with one point each.

The competition has attracted a lot of attention and enthusiasm from the fans, who filled the stadium with over 50,000 spectators in the two matches played so far.
