Bardhere: Al-shabab executes 4 men accused of spying

Al-shabab have executed four Somali men in Bardhere district, of Gedo region alleging them of spying.

Al-shabab court in Gedo region has sentenced the four men to death penalty after they were accused of spying for Ethiopia, United States and Somali Federal government.

The four men are, 1. Omar Mohamed Kheyre aged 29 years accused of spying for CIA.

2.Abdiweli Mohamed Sirad aged 40 years accused of spying for CIA and Ethiopian national intelligence.

3. Noor Sheikh Rashid Haji Hersi, aged 21 years, accused of working with Ethiopian Intelligence.

4. Abdifatah Osman Abdulle, aged 21 years accused of having direct links with the federal government of Somalia and actively working with NISA.

The men were executed by firing squad at a public place in Bardhere district a stronghold of Al-shabab in Gedo region.

The recent few weeks senior Al-shabab official was killed by US airstrike while another official surrendered to federal government forces in Elwak district.
