Seven children die of diarrhea in Bakool region

About 7 children have been killed by diarrhea in the town of Ado under Bakool region in the last two days.
Residents who spoke to the media confirmed the death of seven children caused by diarrhea following flooding in the region.

Several other people are reported to have contracted the waterborne disease as facilities such as toilets were washed away by floods.

Hundreds of thousands of people have been displaced in various parts of the country following heavy flooding. Most affected were areas in Bay and Bakool, Hiiraan and Jubba regions where the UN estimates over 300,000 people were uprooted from their homes.
