Delegates from the federal parliament arrive Beledweyn
Delegates from the Federal parliament of Somalia arrived in Beledweyn, the headquarters of Hiran region on Saturday.
The delegation is headed by the vice chairman of of parliamentary interior and security committee Dahir Amin Jessow.
The aim of their visit is to assess the situation of the areas hit by drought and shortage of water in the region, the delegation is also expected to supervise the blocked roads in the region.
Amin Jessow said that the l members of the Federal parliament came to evaluate the realities on the ground that Hiran residents face and present the hardship and challenges of the people to the parliament.
They are supposed to meet with the administration of Hiran region.
The cabinet ministers meeting chaired by deputy prime minister and religious affairs minister Ridwan Hersi Ali stated that there are plans to deliver emergency support to the drought areas, committees to step up detailed assessment were formed.
