Deputy PM Jama Applauds Development Progress at Port Mogadishu
GOOBJOOG NEWS | MOGADISHU: Federal government of Somalia Deputy Prime Minister Salah Ahmed Jama has commended the significant progress and ongoing initiatives at Mogadishu Port, spearheaded by the Ministry of Ports and Marine Transport.
Speaking while on an official visit to the port Tuesday, Deputy Prime Minister Jama highlighted the vital role the port plays in Somalia’s economic development and its contribution to the nation’s broader recovery goals.
The Deputy Prime Minister also emphasized the ministry’s commitment to improving the port’s services and advancing its operational efficiency.
During the visit, Deputy PM Jama was received by the Minister of Ports and Marine Transport, Mr. Mahmoud Aden Geesood, State Minister of Ports and Marine Transport, Mr. Mohamed Abdulqadir Dhucle, and the Deputy Port Manager of Mogadishu Port, who is also the acting General Manager, Mr. Ali Haji Mohamed.
This visit underscores the government’s dedication to fostering infrastructural growth and enhancing public services.
