Federal government forces seize weapons in Mogadishu

Federal government on Sunday presented weapons, both explosives and guns seized in a planned operations government forces conducted in Mogadishu.

The spokesman of national security ministry Mohamed Yussuf while speaking to Goobjoog said that the operations have successfully led to seizure of illegal weapons hidden in of the garage in Hodan district of Banadir region adding that one of the locals who delivered the valuable information to the forces was awarded.

Mr. Yussuf added that the seized weapons include sharp shooters, bombs, mortars and other explosive devices.

He encouraged the local people to collaborate and give information to the security forces that can lead to seize other illegal weapons in the city.
